WOODS, LAMINATES, VENEERS AND MORE...
This additional section is what makes your purchase different. You are able to create a bespoke piece within the budget of your choice.
PLYWOODS
Birch plywood grade BB/BB would be the typical wood for interior furniture as seen on all designs. OSB Is also an option for a more industrial finish.
Marine Plywood is recommended with a varnish for exterior use. This is a more durable but dearer option.
VENEERS
For a more traditional or varied surface. These vary considerably and can be sourced to suit your needs from either practical to show-stopping.
COPPER VS HARDWOOD
Pine would be the starting option on the benches and stools in either an oiled, waxed or left natural finish. Additionally they can be stained in a colour of choice for a small additional cost. However, copper can be used to bring warmth to a room.
GREEN CAST RECYCLED ACRYLIC
100% recycled acrylic made to the same high standards as non-recycled acrylic allowing you to go bright whilst reusing and repurposing and without breaking the budget.
ACRYLIC VS WEAVE
A weave finish has the option to use a variety of rope thicknesses and colours. A natural colour heavy flax twine is standard. If you prefer something a little sharper a flush acrylic insert can be made to order in a colour of your choice. Acrylic may not be suitable however for heavy use. It will scratch if in contact with rough elements.
FLATBED PRINTING
Flatbed printing precision prints directly to the flat wood surface. This allows you to place a digital image or text exactly where you would like it positioned. Just send through a high res photo or choose an image from our vast photostock. This can then be varnished for a gloss finish or left in its matt appearance. For examples just hit the Pinterest icon at the top of the page.
FREE PHONE CONSULTATION
Whether it's a very simple question or you need help in deciding what to go with, assistance can be given by phone. This can be aided if you are able to send through a visual of the room in question where you would like the piece to go in. Any images you have of styles or colours that inspire you are always a good start but don't worry if you are flat out of ideas.
AU NATUREL
It's ok to keep things simple. If going with the natural option It is advised to have a Danish oil or clear wax finish, all inclusive, to preserve the wood and protect it from dirt and contact from natural skin oils. For garden use in addition to choosing Marine Plywood it is recommended to have an initial varnish finish to extend the life of the furniture. This will need sanding down and topping up in time to continue to protect. Oils and varnishes may alter the colour of the wood. A wax will not change the appearance of the wood.
